Quetta, (August 27, 2021): A special meeting was held to review the progress of Gwadar Port and CPEC projects. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Affairs was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Khalid Mansoor in which Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Abdul Kabir Zircon, Gwadar Port Authority, and other concerned officials participated.
On the occasion, Chief Engineer Nadir Baloch briefed the participants about the details of several development projects’ status in Gwadar. He informed the participants about the requirements and problems of the ongoing work. He also briefed the meeting about the problems of the supply of clean drinking water in Gwadar., such as the ongoing development process under mega projects.
On this occasion, the officials associated with various projects of Gwadar and CPEC also provided the required details and said that the completion of CPEC projects would lead to an economic revolution in Pakistan and the entire region in the future.
The meeting renewed the commitment that with the help of the ongoing major projects in Gwadar would eliminate unemployment and provide ample opportunities for education and economic development to the people. Mr. Khalid, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on CPEC, directed the officials of all the concerned departments to give priority to the problems of the people of Gwadar and resolve them as early as possible.
