Gwadar Destined To Be the Next Dubai

A special ceremony to sign the MoU between The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and Green Palms Housing Project (GPHP) was held at the LCCI headquarters. The leadership of both these reputable organizations including President LCCI Mian Tariq Misbah and Chairman GPHP Amtij Rafi Butt were present at this momentous occasion. The ceremony was also addressed by Vice President Tahir Manzur Chaudhry and Senator Koda Babar.

The Future of Gwadar

Expressing his views on the occasion, Mr. Amtij Rafi Butt said that Gwadar was going to play a significant role in Pakistan’s economy due to its strategic location. Mr. Butt claims that Gwadar will become a massive hub of economic opportunities, comparing it to the likes of Dubai, in the near future. He believes that Gwadar’s rapid development will not only boost the living standards of the local population but also serve as a key component of the economic prosperity of Pakistan.

The chairman also went on to state that China, being an emerging superpower and a close ally of Pakistan, has done a fantastic job of overseeing and implementing the first developmental phase of the China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC). The next phase will focus on the establishment of industrial zones and the development of the agricultural sector which will substantially boost Pakistan’s economy.

He said that the lucrative and brilliant One Belt One Road initiative has attracted investors from over 140 countries, and CPEC, being the flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), is undoubtedly a mega project which will revitalize the economies of both countries. Imtiaz Rafi Butt also believes that the end of the 20-year war in Afghanistan will allow for greater stability, and in turn, greater economic development in the region.

“Gwadar, being the most important part of CPEC, is likely to become the next Dubai in the near future” Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

The Green Palms Housing Project

LCCI President Mian Tariq Misbah said the business community views the development of the port city as a major milestone in Pakistan’s emerging economic profile. He wholeheartedly believes that the individuals who are currently investing in the project will reap huge benefits in the years to come!

He hopes that the launch of the Green Palms Housing Project in Gwadar will add to the aesthetic beauty and architectural landscape of the region. With the help of cutting edge infrastructure and comprehensive facilities, the Green Palms Gwadar will be a project with unparalleled potential for growth. Even now, he says, the Green Palms Gwadar is growing very rapidly.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the Green Palms Housing Project will provide special corporate rates to LCCI members for the purchase of residential and commercial plots in the GPHP’s Overseas Block.
